The more valuable you are as an employee, the more value you offer to your employer, the more you can earn.
There is a direct connection between the amount of people's lives you impact and the amount of money you earn. If you owned a hot dog stand you could impact however many people came to your stand for that day. If you owned a chain of restaurants, you have a greater chance of impacting many people on a daily basis. You can also impact everyone you come into contact with. Your friends, your neighbors, those you work with, the nice lady at the dry cleaners, the janitor at your office building.
The greater value you provide to society, the more you will earn.
